Thankful Opportunity

Thankful Opportunity

One of the hardest things we had to do each year growing up was WAIT for the Thanksgiving dinner to be ready.

We could smell it all day long and were starving. The pies ready from the night before sat on the counter tops staring at us, begging us to eat them.

We have begun a tradition of making pilgrim hats with the kids while dinner is cooking. Not only do they have a great time doing it, but it gives us a photo opportunity once they are finished. We always have enough for everyone at the party so no one is left out.

I found this craft on First Palette. They have so many fun crafts that you can do with your kids based on the season.

Here’s how to make the pilgrim hats I make with my family every year.

What you'll need:

  • 12" x 18" white paper
  • Ribbon or string
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Hole punch
  • Stapler
  • Scotch tape

You can also get a kit from Party City for $5.99. You have enough to do with cooking. This is way easier than starting from scratch.
