Oh what we we do without our BFF’s? Probably get into less trouble! What’s a little trouble, in order to have that person who we can tell our inner most deepest thoughts to? Good friends are hard to come by- especially as kids.
My granddaughter struggles making friends at school. She is the sweetest, most thoughtful, and intelligent girl but hasn’t yet found that special friend- she’s only 9, it will come! Continue to support your kids, and teach them to be accepting of others.
In my book Wings and Feet, we learn that it’s important for kids to be accepting of those who are different and have grace from a young age, and by encouraging them to talk to a kid that they might not regularly talk to or normally play with, we might just help the bullying ratio in this country to decrease.
Be grateful for your friends. Send them a note, give them a hug, call them, and visit them.
Cheers to all the besties out there!
