If you have children, it is that time of year DUN DUN DUNNNNN…Back to school!
School days are here and another year has come and gone. It is also a time where your child may be entering kindergarten. For some it could be scary, and some might be excited. Whichever it is in your house a consistent night time routine will get them ready for the up and coming year. There is nothing better than a fresh bath, getting under the covers, and reading a good book to get them to feel secure.
I have 2 children’s books that are prefect for the kindergarten age, “Arnold, the cute little pig with personality” and “Bart’s Escape out the Gate”.
Arnold is written in an easy to format with the words in simple font on white back ground at the bottom of each page. The pictures are colorful and funny as we get to see Arnold getting into big mischief. There are repeating words to help young readers be able to identify them though out the story. A story that pre-K and K’s will love to repeat.
Bart is a book with a mission- catch the dino! All children and adults make mistakes, it’s what we do after the mistake that will help us to grow. This book is an early reader with the more difficult words repeated in the story. This enables the children the opportunity to show they mastered the word once they get to the end of the book. Who doesn’t like a lovable dino with a lesson attached?
