What an important role fathers have. I know that my father taught me so many valuable lessons. He taught me how to love, how to work for something and not let anyone hand it to me, he taught me that life should not always be so serious- have an adventure, he also showed me the kind of man I would want to marry by how he treated my mother. Poppy treated my mother like a queen! I, however, did not see that as something I wanted. Instead, that taught me that I wanted to be an independent woman who didn’t rely on a man for the things I needed and wanted. Now, that’s not to say one is right and one is wrong, it’s simply my opinion and what I took away from my dad.
To honor fathers today, I interviewed 2 of my grandchildren, and here are the things they had to say about their fathers:
