June 8th marks the day we celebrate best friends. This holiday began in 1935, when U.S. congress decided to devote a day to friendship. Best friends carry us thru life, they are there for the ups and they are there for the downs. There will be highs and lows in friendship, but the best friends stick around thru all of it!
In my children’s book, “Wings & Feet”, I wanted to pass on the importance of friendship to those young minds. Just like in my book, we all learn things about our friends and we adapt in order to move our relationships forward. That is an important thing to learn early on, so that we can cherish friends for even longer!
Grab your BFF today and hold them tight. Tell them you love them and appreciate them. Grab a coffee, some lunch, or an icy beverage. Happy Best Friends Day!
